Arrive Canberra, pick up your rental car for your holiday. Take a lift to the roof top of Parliament House, one of the world’s most architecturally acclaimed buildings for stunning views of the city. Stop at enjoy wood-fired pizza at Four Wines Vineyard, designed with families in mind with a huge space to run around, or stock up chocolates or have coffee at Murrumbateman Chocolate Co (Thu to Mon) before sampling a top drop at Clonakilla, Shaw or Mount Majura Wines closer to the city. In the afternoon, visit Cockington Green Gardens at Gold Creek, to discover tiny versions of famous buildings from around the world and ride the ever-popular mini stream train. Whilst in Gold Creek, walk across to touch a genuine 150 million-year-old dinosaur bone and a 150kg meteorite, or other hands-on-experiences at the National Dinosaur Museum.

Visit Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve which offers outstanding natural wildlife experiences. Spot famous five native Australian animals: the kangaroos, koalas, emus, wombat and the elusive platypus in their natural surrounds on one of the gentle self-guided walks through the reserve. Get an adrenaline rush as you race down a 1.2 kilometer alpine slide at Corin Forest.
